Ramadan Kareem! May this month bring you peace, happiness, and time together with your loved ones. In February, we launched our Ramadan campaign to raise funds for our upcoming High School Scholarships program in Syria, we celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of our ‘Education in Times of Crisis’ teaching diploma program, we participated in the fifth steering committee meeting with the Islamic Development Bank, and we launched a new scholarship in collaboration with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
This Ramadan: Keep Orphans in School in Syria

We are raising funds for our upcoming High School Scholarship Program in Syria, to ensure orphaned students can complete high school with dignity and comprehensive support. Each scholar will receive tuition coverage, academic support, transportation, English language training, university preparation, and ongoing psychosocial support.
We have already completed more than 20% of our target!
This campaign is Zakat-verified, and tax refund receipts are available.
Second Cohort of Educators Completes Diploma for Education in Crisis

We are happy to announce that eight of our educators have completed their four-semester ‘Education in Times of Crisis’ certification from the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) this month. Generously funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the diploma program, in its second cohort, integrates psychosocial training essential for teaching in challenging circumstances. Over a year and a half, our teachers engaged in coursework that blended traditional teaching methods with innovative approaches, including new activity-based learning techniques, the integration of modern technology such as AI, and digital learning tools like educational and evaluative games. The cohort included teachers and principals from educational centers. Two of them returned to Syria during the course and completed it online. We look forward to them transferring their added knowledge and skills into their work in Syria.
Jusoor Participates in STEP Steering Committee Meeting with IsDB

At the beginning of February, Jusoor participated in the STEP Steering Committee Meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). Launched in 2022, the Skills, Training, and Education Program (STEP) for refugees, displaced persons, and host communities is a flagship initiative by the Islamic Development Bank aimed at restoring hope, strengthening resilience, and creating opportunities for those affected by conflict and displacement. Jusoor plays two roles in STEP, the first as a Steering Committee Member, helping shape the strategic direction of STEP to ensure it meets the needs of refugee and host communities effectively. The second as an implementing partner, leveraging our expertise in refugee education and workforce development to deliver programs on the ground.
