Jusoor participated in the STEP Steering Committee Meeting on February 4 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
Our Executive Director, Khaled Abu Ajwa, attended the meeting on behalf of Jusoor. We value our dynamic steering committee partnerships, including the Islamic Development Bank, SPARK, Al Awn Foundation for Development, Sheikh Abdallah Al Nouri Charity Society, the International Islamic Charity Organization, and Qatar Charity.
Launched in 2022, the Skills, Training, and Education Program (STEP) for refugees, displaced persons, and host communities is a flagship initiative by the Islamic Development Bank aimed at restoring hope, strengthening resilience, and creating opportunities for those affected by conflict and displacement. By focusing on education, vocational training, and employability skills, STEP seeks to equip individuals with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities.
Jusoor plays two roles in STEP, the first as a Steering Committee Member, helping shape the strategic direction of STEP to ensure it meets the needs of refugee and host communities effectively. The second as an implementing partner, leveraging our expertise in refugee education and workforce development to deliver programs on the ground.
