This month, we welcomed our refugee students back to our centers in Lebanon to resume learning after months of online learning during the last school year and the summer break; we launched our Skills to Work career development program on the ground in four Syrian cities; and we took part in three conferences in Amman, Geneva, and Lisbon.
Our Students Are Back in Their Centers in Lebanon

After months away from their education centers, we are finally welcoming our students back to our centers in Lebanon as we begin a new academic year. For many of the children and youth we serve, our centers provide not just an education, but a vital community anchor, a place where resilience transforms into opportunity. Seeing the eagerness in our students' eyes as they return to their classrooms reminds us why this work matters so deeply. Equipped with updated tools, renewed energy, and a shared dedication to lifelong learning, our teachers and students are ready to make this academic year unforgettable.

Skills to Work Launches to Empower Career Success in Four Syrian Cities

More than 145 young Syrians in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, and Rif Dimashq have started the first phase of our 12-month project, Skills to Work, with five training groups already running in tracks such as E-Commerce & Digital Marketing and Mobile App Coding. Our model is built around what the job market actually needs. Learners Skill-up through hands-on technical and employability training, Match-up with employers through internships and job matching, and Link-up to freelancing and self-employment through digital platforms, portfolio building, and AI tools. In parallel, our team is already reaching out to local employers to open real pathways to work. We are proud of every learner taking this step toward their professional future, and grateful to our partners Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund and Glocal Shift for making it possible.

Jusoor Takes Part in Development and Aid Conferences in Amman, Geneva & Lisbon

This month, we took part in three vital conferences that strengthened our networking with like-minded organizations to drive forward change. Our Executive Director, Khaled Abu Ajwa, took part in the Arab Impact Summit in Amman, Jordan at the start of the month and the Euromed Summit of Economic and Social Council and Similar Institutions in Lisbon, Portugal later in October. Our Fundraising Junior Manager, Hala Amhaz, joined organisations, donors, and development partners from around the world at AidEx 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. The three events were successful in creating valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships, and explore new avenues for collaboration, particularly as we expand our work inside Syria. We look forward to building on these conversations to open more pathways for Syrian youth to reach their full potential through education, entrepreneurship, and career development.
Together, we are transforming challenges into lasting opportunities for youth across Syria. Thank you for your unwavering support.
