April 4th, 2024, marked a major milestone for Jusoor as we celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of our "Education in Emergencies" Teaching Diploma program, in collaboration with the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) and generously supported by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The ceremony, held at MUBS Campus in Badaro, Beirut, was filled with pride and joy as twelve dedicated educators received their diplomas after completing the rigorous four-semester, 24-credit program.
This achievement not only strengthens their professional foundation and career stability but also equips them with the tools to provide the highest quality education tailored to the unique needs of students in crisis-affected environments.
The "Education in Emergencies" Teaching Diploma is more than just a pedagogical certification—it integrates social and psychological training essential for teaching in challenging circumstances. Over a year and a half, our teachers engaged in coursework that blended traditional teaching methods with innovative approaches, including new activity-based learning techniques, the integration of modern technology such as AI, and digital learning tools like educational and evaluative games.

"I learned so much—not just new educational skills and approaches, but also technological advancements relevant to today’s classrooms. The program was incredibly timely, especially with the focus on online learning and interactive methods,” Elham, Jusoor Early Childhood Education Coordinator and teacher at Jurahiya Center, shared at the ceremony.
This milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners. We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Nael Alami and the MUBS team for their financial and moral support, as well as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose generous funding made the program a reality.
With the first cohort’s success, we are excited to continue this journey with a new group of teachers currently enrolled in the program. We look forward to celebrating their graduation next year and expanding the impact of this vital initiative.
