Jusoor is Now a Registered NGO inside Syria!

Bridges to Syria — Update #7
Jusoor inside Syria registered NGO

We’re excited to share that, in addition to our registrations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Lebanon, and Jordan, Jusoor is now officially registered as a non-governmental organization in our home country, Syria!

Early in December, we announced our Bridges to Syria initiative, our first step toward bridging Jusoor’s work and programs with our homeland, Syria. Since then, we’ve been engaging with communities and partners on the ground, listening, learning, and collaborating to understand local needs and opportunities.

Over the past few months, this initiative has taken meaningful shape. We’ve trained 90 elementary school teachers who went on to lead summer classes for more than 900 students in their communities. We’ve also provided preparatory courses for high school seniors whose education has been disrupted for years. Now, as we continue this momentum, we’re expanding partnerships with schools and institutions across Syria, bringing Jusoor’s commitment to high-quality education directly into Syrian classrooms.

We are very excited about what comes next. This milestone opens up doors and huge potential for impact. It means being able to legally operate fully on the ground, it opens the door for local and international partnerships, and hopefully one day to be fully present with an office inside Syria.

We are hopeful and enthusiastic to be a part of shaping education inside Syria and bridging the opportunity gap from within the Syrian borders. Thank you for being a part of this journey so far. We look forward to keeping you updated and engaged with our initiatives. Stay tuned
