After months of being away, we finally welcomed our students back to our centers in Lebanon, marking a new academic year. For many of the children and youth we serve, our centers provide not just an education, but a vital community anchor, a place where resilience transforms into opportunity.
In March 2026, we had to close our centers’ doors to ensure the safety of our students and teachers with the ongoing war and escalation in Lebanon. Thanks to our tried-and-tested Online Learning Initiative, Azima, our well-equipped teachers continued to teach online with minimal software requirements and a lot of determination until the end of June.
We now finally feel confident enough in the safety of the situation to welcome our students back in person. After our usual inservice training week in September, old and new teachers started preparing their classrooms, lesson plans, and many fun-filled and engaging activities to ease our students back into the center.

Seeing the eagerness in our students' eyes as they return to their classrooms reminds us why this work matters so deeply. Armed with updated tools, renewed energy, and a shared dedication to lifelong learning, our teachers and students are ready to make this academic year unforgettable.
