Highlights of 2025
The major highlight of 2025 was that, for the first time since Jusoor’s inception in 2011, we were finally able to work inside Syria. Bridges to Syria is Jusoor’s initiative to bring our projects home. Since launching, Bridges to Syria has already delivered teacher training, academic programs, a summer school, knowledge conferences, and support for high school students, reaching more than 1,000 students and educators across the country.
In 2025, we received the PIEoneer Award for our scholarships program for championing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our online learning initiative, Azima, also received recognition by being selected by HundrED as one of 100 global innovative educational initiatives.
Stories that Inspire
We are also happy to share the stories of nine incredible children, scholars, and a teacher who have benefited from our programs. These stories offer a glimpse into the potential that awaits Syrian and Levantine youth when given the opportunity. From film to AI to contributing to education in Syria, these stories are sure to inspire.
