This month, we are excited to share several exciting updates, from the launch of our new Arabic website to being shortlisted for an award, to signing with the Islamic Development Bank.
Jusoor Officially Signs as an Islamic Development Bank Partner

We officially signed a partnership agreement with the Islamic Development Bank at the 2025 IsDB Group Annual Meeting in Algeria on Wednesday May 22nd as part of the Skills, Training and Education Program (STEP), aiming to restore hope, strengthen resilience, and create opportunity for refugees, displaced individuals, and vulnerable host communities. The agreement was signed by our Executive Director, Khaled Abu-Ajwa. Jusoor will be on the STEP steering committee as well as an implementing partner of STEP.
We are Shortlisted for the PIEoneer Awards!

We are honored to be shortlisted as a finalist for the PIEoneer Awards 2025 in the category of Championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion! This recognition reflects our commitment to providing secondary and higher education to conflict-affected Syrian youth. Being named among such inspiring global initiatives is an honor and a testament to the hard work of our team, partners, and the incredible students we serve. The winners will be announced at the prestigious PIEoneer Awards Ceremony in September—stay tuned for updates!
Jusoor’s Website is Now in Arabic!

After months of translation, copy editing, and reformatting, we are thrilled to announce that our website is now available for viewing in Arabic. The website offers comprehensive information about our educational programs, professional development, inspiring success stories, and ways to get involved or support our mission. At Jusoor, we believe language should never be a barrier to education and growth, which is why we've created this dedicated Arabic resource to better serve our community and reach supporters in the region.
Training on Integrating Technology in Teaching High School Education

High school teachers at Jurahiya Center in Bekaa and Tuyoor AlAmal School in Tripoli participated in an interactive training on integrating technology in teaching, equipping them with innovative tools to enhance their classrooms. Led by expert coach and Jusoor team member Yousra Sabra, the session covered the TPACK (Technology, Pedagogy, and Content Knowledge) Framework, which guides teachers in incorporating technology effectively in lesson planning to make the learning process more fruitful. 96% of teachers found it helpful, with one participant saying: "The training was concise and beneficial, and the trainer's approach was exceptional. I truly enjoyed the activities, and we would like to dedicate a day outside the center for intensive training on this topic.” A total of 22 teachers received certificates, and their enthusiasm for the next topic, AI in Education, shows their dedication to growth.
