At Jusoor, we are continuously strategizing to design new and effective ways to live up to our slogan “Bridging the Opportunity Gap” — thus we are thrilled to announce the official launch of the fourth pillar of our work with Syrian youth: our Career Development Program.
To address significant youth unemployment in the MENA region (25%), particularly affecting Syrian refugees and war-displaced youth, our Career Development Program connects Syrian talent with income generation, builds targeted skill sets, and creates innovative employment pipelines to bridge the opportunity gap.
We believe that Syrian youth are talented, resilient, and possess the necessary skills and qualities to succeed. However, upskilling and networking opportunities, especially for soft skills, are not always readily accessible to them. We also recognize that employment solutions should be inclusive of diverse career interests as well as young people from all walks of life, in order to strengthen and not further fragment the Syrian community. Thus our Career Development Program opens doors that range from construction and healthcare to software engineering and robotics, thereby facilitating both tech and non-tech, remote and in-person jobs.
