Colored Eggs, Top University Scholars, Graduations & Publications

Jusoor’s April 2025 Newsletter
Design featuring Easter celebration, new publications, and Teaching Diploma Graduation

This April, we celebrated Easter with our students as well as the graduation of the first cohort from the Education in Emergencies teaching diploma program. We also released two publications sharing key insights and lessons from our work, and a video about our scholars soaring at top universities worldwide.

Egg Coloring and Easter Activities at our Centers

Our students celebrated Easter in our learning centers with various activities, including coloring eggs, painting, cutting flower shapes, and Easter egg hunts. From our students to you, Happy Easter! Watch our Easter video here.

Teachers Celebrate Diplomas in Graduation Ceremony

April 4th saw the graduation of the first cohort of graduates from the four-semester, 24-credit teaching diploma program ‘Education in Emergencies’ in collaboration with the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS), and generously supported by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In an atmosphere filled with celebration, our twelve graduates received their diplomas, which will not only strengthen their professional foundation and long-term career stability but also empower them to offer the best possible education to our students in a curriculum catered to their specific needs.

Two Publications Diving Deep into Our Projects

We just launched two new publications this month. English as a Second Language Interventions: A Systematic Review delves into the wide range of ESL interventions tailored to refugee youth in the MENA region with a critical look at their unique opportunities and challenges. In Championing Women in Business Leadership: A Tailored Capacity Building Intervention, we share our approach, results, challenges, and opportunities from our 2024 project.

  • Anna Maria Azar – Bachelor of Arts and Science (Mathematics and Philosophy), McGill University
  • Subhi Abo Rdan – B.Sc. in Physics (Computer Science and Engineering), Massachusetts Institute of Technology
