Fawaz Dabbaghie

I began my academic journey in 2009, studying Biotechnology Engineering at the University of Aleppo. In 2013, I furthered my studies through an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Germany. After completing my bachelor's, I gained practical experience as a research assistant in Bonn for a year. I then advanced to a Master's in Bioinformatics at Saarland University in 2016, during which I was gratefully supported by Jusoor's hardship fund that helped me finance a big part of my education. Building on this foundation, I pursued a PhD at the University of Düsseldorf, which I successfully completed with a Magna Cum Laude distinction in 2025. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Seoul National University, and I am always happy to help and consult any student interested in pursuing a career in research and academia.
