Bahaa Aldeen Melhem

Throughout middle school, I've worked as a video editor to help my family financially while balancing schoolwork and my preparation for the Syrian Junior Olympiad. While, unfortunately, the war eventually prevented me from taking part in the Olympiad, I had a new chance to compete in high school. I dug deeper and deeper into physics until physics became a part of who I am, and I embrace that part. The culmination of this journey was winning Syria's first-ever silver medal at the IPhO 2024. This achievement didn't mark the end of my commitment. Instead, I remain dedicated to mentoring younger physicists, sharing my knowledge, and fostering a deeper understanding of the subject. At NTU, I carry huge dreams in physics research and beyond. While quantum mechanics and the unifying theories captivate my imagination, I'm still excited to delve into all kinds of topics in physics that can create meaningful impacts.
