Open Call Scholarship

Many talented Syrian students secure admission to leading universities abroad, including top-tier institutions in Europe and North America, yet face the risk of not enrolling or having to drop out due to gaps in funding for essentials such as study materials, travel, or living stipends. Without adequate and timely support, these students may miss the opportunity to fully develop their academic potential, leadership skills, and capacity to contribute to Syria’s reconstruction and the resilience of their communities.

Our Intervention

The Jusoor Open Call Scholarship, first launched in 2022, bridges the critical gap in travel and visa costs for Syrian students who have secured scholarships from universities or third parties but cannot cover these essential expenses. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate Syrian students admitted to top-ranked universities—Top 200 in the US, Top 20 in Canada, Top 50 in the UK, or Top 100 in Europe according to Times Higher Education—who have already been awarded full tuition or full living expenses scholarships from their university or other third parties.
