In early 2025, we announced our initiative, Bridges to Syria, as a start to Jusoor’s building a bridge to bring our work into Syria. And what started as intense on-ground learning and monitoring has quickly emerged, turning into actionable plans and projects in the summer, that have already impacted more than 1,000 Syrian students and teachers. Our visual above showcases the main highlights from the last few months. Our chapter in Syria is just getting started, with more programs on the horizon as sanctions continue to lift slowly. Today, we are happy to share that we have taken our first steps to launch our Entrepreneurship Program inside Syria, and here’s a recap of the latest!
Strategic Partners at the First Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Inside Syria

Organized by Startup Syria and licensed by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Jusoor was a strategic partner at the first edition of GEW in Syria 2025, which took place between November 25 and 30, 2025, across more than 14 Syrian cities and online. Our co-founder and Board of Trustees member, Dania Ismail, was on the opening panel discussing the future of entrepreneurship in Syria. Dania also took part in a session on investment moderated by our Head of Career Development and Entrepreneurship, Mostafa Hamdy. Besides the panels, our team was busy participating in roundtable discussions, networking, and taking notes for our future entrepreneurship and career development interventions in Syria.

Announcement of an Investment Readiness Pre-Accelerator in Syria

During the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Syria, we announced a new project targeting Syrian entrepreneurs working inside Syria in collaboration with Startup Syria. LAUNCHPAD: Startup Syria x Jusoor Investment Readiness Program Residency is a 10-day residency Pre-Accelerator Program designed for early-stage Syrian startups that have already launched a minimum viable product (MVP) or are generating early traction in the market. Top-performing teams will then take part in exposure visits to leading GCC capitals, meeting private and institutional partner funds and accelerators to secure investments in their businesses. We can’t wait to share more with you on the project set to start in early 2026.
High School Scholarship Students Join Syrian Universities

Our 31 High School Scholarships students who graduated in 2025 have all joined Syrian universities. From engineering to dentistry, law, medicine, science, and literature at the University of Homs, University of Idlib, University of Damascus, and others. This is a moment where we really see the impact of our work at Jusoor; had it not been for our High School Scholarships in Lebanon, many of these students might not have been able to get the support they need to finish their studies. We look forward to seeing these students move on to become Syria’s next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, doctors, writers, thinkers, and changemakers, moving the country forward.

Our next and final project for 2025 inside Syria will be an academic visit in collaboration with the Syrian Science Council at universities in Idlib and Deir Ez-Zour at the end of December. We look forward to updating you on the progress.
It’s been an amazing year of working inside Syria. We thank you for the support, ideation, and continuous engagement with our initiative. We would appreciate your support to power us to continue our work inside Syria for 2026.
