Jusoor Has Been Awarded the 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency

Jusoor has been awarded, once again, the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, an independent organization that evaluates how nonprofits manage their funds, govern their operations, and meet key accountability benchmarks. The Platinum Seal is Candid's highest recognition for nonprofit transparency, and receiving it reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible stewardship and program impact.

Syrian Baccalaureate students support classes now in Harasta

We are pleased to announce that we have secured a new center for our Syrian after-school and weekend retention classes for Baccalaureate students in Harasta, in the northwestern suburbs of Damascus, Syria. Supported by the Porticus Foundation, the classes in Harasta are offered to around 70 students. Molham Volunteering Team has also provided on-the-ground support to bring these classes to life. These classes are part of the same project that we started almost six weeks ago in Harran El Awameed, Zabadani, and Moaadamiyet El Sham, which are supported by Chalhoub Group, making the total number of students receiving support 170.

Support subjects include Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics,  Arabic, English, and French, with classes aimed at strengthening students’ skills, addressing any learning gaps caused by the conflict, and improving their performance in official exams.

Two Scholarship Tracks & Duolingo English Test Scholarships

This month, we launched three different scholarships for students:

  1. Open Call Scholarship 2026/2027, which is open to students admitted to a top university abroad, with a full scholarship for tuition and living expenses, and looking to fill the remaining gaps for travel, such as flights, visa, and health insurance.
  1. Jusoor-Juna Foundation Lebanon Scholarship 2026/2027, which supports Syrian, Lebanese, and Palestinian youth, particularly those affected by displacement, to pursue the Technical Studies (Technicien Supérieur – TS) program at CIS College in Lebanon
  2. We partnered with the Duolingo English Test to offer fee-waived English proficiency certificates to Syrian and Syrian-Palestinian students in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Türkiye, Egypt, and Iraq applying to universities abroad.

Jusoor Elkom: Remote Talents & Employers Outreach

We launched the second cohort call for Jusoor Elkom (formerly titled: The Aya Project) to recruit and remotely connect Syrian and Levantine talent with professionals, companies, and organizations looking to hire top-quality employees who are bilingual, affordable, and tech-savvy. Jusoor facilitates successful hires by offering comprehensive training for incoming employees as well as guidance for employers on remote management practices. This ensures quality control and fosters successful, mutually beneficial partnerships. This cohort will focus on roles for Graphic Designers and Executive Assistants.

Hire Remote Talent Today

As always, we take this monthly opportunity to thank you for believing in Jusoor’s mission and supporting our work to bridge the opportunity gap for Syrians, in Syria and abroad.
