Jusoor is proud to award its annual Bridges Award to Mr. Patrick Chalhoub this year during its 7th Annual Gala – Braving a New Reality – on Sunday 22 November.
Jusoor’s Bridges Award is given to an individual who is working to transform and build a better world around them. They are a source of inspiration and compassion – an agent of change who demonstrates the utmost courage and respect towards all humanity. Mr. Patrick Chalhoub was awarded the Bridges Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership in enabling the education of thousands of Syrian refugee children in Lebanon.
Patrick Chalhoub and the Chalhoub group have supported the Jusoor Jeb Jenin education center in Lebanon since its opening in 2014. This center serves thousands of out-of-school Syrian children from the surrounding camps to help them learn to read and write so that they can enter public school. Mr Chalhoub has proven himself to be an extraordinary patron – going above and beyond to ensure Syria’s children are not left behind.
Mr. Patrick Chalhoub’s contribution has been truly life-changing for Syria’s next generation. We are so grateful for his support, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving person for this award
