Celebrating Our Partnership With Goodwill International School

At Jusoor, our fundamental belief is that education holds the key to unlocking the potential of future generations. With this conviction, we embarked on an inspiring partnership with Goodwill International School (GIS) in Lebanon. Our shared values and mission to promote education have forged a powerful bond between our organizations. In 2022, we began a transformative journey to integrate Syrian students into the Lebanese education system, paving the way towards a more inclusive and vibrant educational landscape.

GIS is an independent coeducational institution with a diverse and multicultural student body. It shares our unwavering passion for nurturing critical thinking, rigorous curiosity, and cooperative learning among students. GIS's steadfast commitment to molding young minds into positive change agents perfectly aligns with our vision of empowering the youth to tackle genuine problems in their communities and make a lasting impact on the world around them.

Despite the challenges we faced, such as cultural differences and limited resources, our collaboration has thrived. Fueled by this spirit of determination, we have been actively involved in supporting the GIS community through regular monthly visits to monitor, assist, and advise on best practices in education. Our involvement also extends to the development of specialized courses on Teachers' Well-being and Teachers' Learning Communities, ensuring that educators are well-equipped and prepared to uphold our shared values and drive positive change in the lives of their students.

Today, GIS stands as a shining example of hope and inclusion for 111 students, including Syrian refugees who have found solace and opportunity within its nurturing walls. The school's exceptional team consists of 19 certified teachers, all passionately dedicated to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and supportive learning environment. We are immensely proud of the progress we have made together and are eager to continue building on this solid foundation for the benefit of all students.

As we celebrate the success of our partnership with GIS, we recognize the urgent need for equal access to quality education for all children, regardless of their background or circumstances.
