For four consecutive years, Jusoor has been committed to enabling refugee-led and host-community-led startups through its flagship regional project Startup Roadshow. Building on its vision of “No Entrepreneur Left Behind”, Jusoor has designed the Startup Roadshow project to enhance the self-resilience of these entrepreneurs from diverse communities and work hard to amplify the positive impact on their lives as its ultimate goal.

Jusoor believes in the tremendous entrepreneurial creativity potential that lies in the Syrian and host communities which can definitely contribute, if given the necessary support and opportunities, to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the MENA region which proved to be an attractive market after the emergence of many successful and fast-growing startups.

Therefore, Jusoor Startup Roadshow is designed to build the entrepreneurial and business capacity of Syrian and host communities that ultimately enable them to access market and finance, overcome legal obstacles and expand their networking and connections with regional investors, incubators, and accelerators which is essential for the success of their startups.

Just recently, Jusoor launched applications to join the fourth round of its Startup Roadshow 2022-2023. This project targets all aspiring entrepreneurs with sustainable business ideas living in Jordan and Lebanon.

The project consists of three main phases:

  1. Startup Weekend Hackathon
  2. Jusoor Business Incubator & Virtual Pitch Day
  3. In-person Conference & Demo Day.

During Startup Roadshow 2022-2023, selected teams will receive world-class training on core business and innovation topics, and 1:1 mentorship sessions. Moreover, the participating teams in the second phase will be provided with in-kind support worth up to USD $1,000 which includes but is not limited to: one laptop per team, brand identity design, and web development services. By the end of the project, the entrepreneurs will pitch their startup ideas to a judging committee and seed funding prizes of up to US$15,000 will be awarded to the top three startups in each country.

This project is supported by SPARK International, Islamic Development Bank, and Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund.
