Tech Talent Banner

The job market is experiencing unprecedented demand for software engineers, but it faces a significant challenge in the form of a widening tech skill gap. Rapid technological advancements have created an urgent need for tech talent with the right skills. A Forbes report predicts that this shortage will intensify, reaching a staggering 85.2 million globally by 2030, posing a serious concern for businesses and hindering tech sector growth.

Tech Talent Pipeline, in collaboration with Talpods, offers an innovative pipeline for talented engineers to fast-track their careers and transition to senior positions within a relatively short timeframe while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the tech world, bridging the skills gap in the ever-evolving world of technology.

Additionally, Syrians seeking employment in various host countries often face a range of unfair employment policies, including limited work permits, discriminatory hiring practices, and restricted access to certain industries. There are many coding bootcamps and upskilling projects, but they often focus on completion rate rather actually gaining employment.

Our Intervention

We are proud to announce our partnership  with TalPods, a leader in software engineering and talent development  with a proven model and a successful track record with fast-growing tech companies. Through this partnership we aim to recruit 10 Syrian talent software engineers, facilitating their journey toward becoming senior software engineers and securing remote tech roles with companies such as Floward, Calo, Laimoon, and other fast-growing tech companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

This project is designed for Syrian university graduates with fundamental coding knowledge and beginning to intermediate English proficiency. They should possess a strong tech background, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and embrace a growth mindset to thrive in the fast-paced tech industry. We aim for at least 30% female participation to promote diversity and innovation.

Mid-Level Engineer in Months instead of Years - A Game-Changing Model

I don't believe I could have secured a similar opportunity or achieved the same level of employability without TalPods, especially with companies that typically require candidates with prior experience.
Marcelino Abou-Haidar, Frontend Engineer

The project kicks off with an intensive 3 months training period, equipping candidates with coding materials and expert guidance.

Next, they will fast-track their careers through real-world apprenticeships with software companies. They work directly with senior engineers, allowing youth developers to produce work akin to that of mid-senior or senior engineers. Senior mentors review their code, guide their project structures, and provide support throughout the process. After 12 months (+/- 3 months) in the apprenticeships , participants have the potential to secure roles as mid-senior software engineers, doubling their income from their early days.

Future Goals

Our future objectives for the TalPods program are ambitious:

  1. Achieve a 60% success rate in participants securing full-time mid-level software engineering positions within 1 to 2 years after program completion.
  2. Foster a 50% increase in participants' monthly income within 6 months of graduating and entering the workforce.
  3. Attain an average 40% improvement in participants' assessed technical and soft skills before and after program participation.

These targets reflect Jusoor and TalPods’ commitment to advancing the careers and livelihoods of our participants while addressing the growing demand for skilled software engineers in the tech industry.

Power Us!

If you're enthusiastic about partnering with us to empower Syrian youth and help them achieve their career dreams, we're excited to work together to turn this vision into a reality. Reach out to us at fundraising@jusoor.ngo to be a part of this transformative journey.
