Aga Khan Architecture Award Shortlist 2019

Jusoor’s Jurahiya educational center was shortlisted for the prestigious 2019 Aga Khan Award for Architecture. The center provides educational facilities for children from 300 Syrian refugee families and is also a hub for community activities as well as the only secure shelter in the event of a natural disaster. The center is an adaptation of the Expo 2015 Save the Children Italy Pavilion in Milan, designed by AOUMM, and is a source of pride for the community.
