Kick off the Christmas countdown at a special soirée, raising funds for Jusoor's life-changing Early Childhood Education Programme, and featuring award-winning comedian James Acaster.
Through an interactive exhibition, you will witness the impact Jusoor is making in the lives of so many Syrian youth, with education centres in Lebanon as well as scholarship and entrepreneurship programmes. Make a difference this holiday season and support Jusoor's ECE programme by purchasing your meaningful gifts on the night.
We are delighted to be joined by special guest, James Acaster, who will perform a short set.
James Acaster is ‘One of comedy’s most original voices’ (Evening Standard). A whimsical master, he has received acclaim from around the world, including a record-breaking 5 consecutive nominations for ‘Best Comedy Show' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. James also has two hit podcasts “Off Menu” which he hosts with Ed Gamble, and ‘Perfect Sounds’ both of which are regulars on the iTunes top 10 List.
Drinks and light refreshments are included during the soirée and the venue's basement bar will remain open afterwards.
Early childhood development is essential for helping young children who have experienced trauma and toxic stress due to the conflict in Syria. Our programme, designed by renowned early childhood development and mental health specialist Dr Alexandra Chen, provides refugee children aged 3 -5 years in Lebanon with preschool education and psychosocial support to prepare them for formal schooling and give them the best academic start in life.
Accessibility: Stone Nest is an old building and unfortunately cannot currently accommodate electric wheelchairs. We can accommodate manually operated wheelchairs at the ground floor level via a temporary ramp; please let us know that you are a wheelchair user when booking.
